You Knew His Name

Put away your filthy ways
And let it wash on down the drain,
Perhaps you’d like to take a bath
Or let it all fall in the rain.


I know a God man made of flesh
who came to save us from disgrace,
He’s made a place for you here now
So turn around and see His face.

Eternity is knocking loud
He’s pounding at the door,
Just bend your knees and speak out loud
“I give my life now to you, Lord.”

If it wasn’t for that open pit
You would have never fallen down,
But here we are it’s time to end
This chaos on the ground.

Yes bended knee, just turn and see
He’s all you’ll ever need,
I pray now, Lord, for this dear soul
Freshly planting fertile seed.

He’ll grow to know Your wonder ways
Fully devoted, he will be,
He’ll owe it all to You, sweet Lord
How you came to set him free.

Delivering from all the stress
Captive released from all his pain,
Forgetting not, the tears begot
When he saw You knew his name.
